These labels are ideal for identification of instruments, containers, and surfaces that will undergo sterilization inside autoclaves, dry-heat sterilization equipment and gamma irradiators.
They are made from high-temperature resistant thermoplastic material and can withstand temperatures from -60ºC to +150ºC. Waterproof, weatherproof and wear and tear proof, they can withstand :
- Autoclave cycles (at 132ºC and 30psi pressure)
- Dry-heat sterilization (up to 150ºC)
- Gamma irradiation (tested up to 50 KGy)
- Boiling water (100ºC for 5 minutes)
The labels, as well as the printout, withstand high-temperature exposures.
Versatile, they can be applied to plastic, glass and metal surfaces. They are ideal for labeling surgical instruments and trays, stainless steel and aluminum surfaces, plasticware, glassware, double-blister packs, and more.
Labels are supplied in roll format on 1” and 3” cores and are compatible with all major brands of thermal-transfer barcode printers such as Zebra, Datamax O’Neil, Sato, CAB, Intermec, Monarch/Paxar, CognitiveTPG, Printronix, Brady (selected models) and more. For recommended ribbons, click here.
The labels are resistant to standard ethylene oxide gas sterilization, consisting of a 60-minute exposure to 759mg/L of ethylene oxide gas, at 55°C, and 40-80% relative humidity, followed by a two-hour aeration cycle.
