Recommended Labels for Biobanking
We offer an assortment of cryogenic labels and tapes designed for prolonged specimen storage in ultra-low temperature freezers (-80°C/-112°F), as well as in liquid and vapor phase liquid nitrogen (-196°C/-321°F). These cryogenic labels each serve a unique purpose or are intended for a particular type of cryo container. Compatible with laboratory sample management systems and biobank LIMS.
NitroTAG®
Cryogenic thermal-transfer labels designed for small diameter cryo tubes, vials, and freezer boxes used for biobanking and biopreservation. Resistant to spraying with ethanol and other alcohols, these cryo labels will also withstand multiple freeze-thaw cycles and high humidity environments.
Cryo-LazrTAG™
Our laser printable labels identify cryo vials, microtubes, and microplates. These cryogenic laser labels are available in permanent, removable, clear, and wrap-around formats. Supplied in letter and A4 sheet formats for printing with desktop laser printers.
CryoSTUCK®
CryoSTUCK thermal-transfer and laser cryogenic labels will adhere to already frozen cryo vials at -80°C, prior to storage in liquid nitrogen. Blackout and transparent CryoSTUCK labels are also available for biobanks relabeling legacy vials and for over-labeling.
Cryo-StrawTAG™
Cryo-StrawTAG labels are low-VOC cryogenic labels designed to identify standard and high-security IVF straws and vitrification devices. These cryo labels will withstand the vitrification process, perfect for biorepositories preserving oocytes, sperm, and embryos.
MetaliTAG™
Cryogenic thermal-transfer labels for the identification of metal racks, stainless-steel boxes, metal sleeves, as well as vial and straw goblet canes. These barcode labels can be applied on the top and sides of metal racks to identify them and their content easily.
PinTAG™
PinTAG cryo specimen labels simultaneously identify the side and bottom of slim profile 2D automated sample storage tubes. Compatible with automatic liquid handling systems, they are perfect for the identification and tracking of 2D-barcoded tubes.
Direct Thermal CryoSTUCK®
Cryogenic direct thermal labels for frozen surfaces featuring our novel SimPEEL technology, making peeling the labels off their liners quick and easy, and simplifying label application. These cryo labels also display excellent resistance to common lab chemicals.
Cryo C-kurTAG™
Our tamper-evident cryo labels offer secure and reliable sealing of microtubes, cryo vials, and cryo boxes. Once applied, these specimen labels will tear-up upon any attempt to remove them. Perfect for securely storing and transporting valuable biological samples in biobanks and biorepositories.
