Acid & Base-Resistant Thermal-Transfer Labels
From -30°C to +100°C (-22°F to +212°F)
AcidiTAG™ is our new line of labels designed to resist exposure to a wide pH range of substances, including concentrated acids and bases, commonly used as laboratory reagents. The permanent, acid and base-proof labels are ideal for the identification of containers used to store highly corrosive reagents used in organic chemistry and forensics, analytical research, and by environmental/agriculture laboratories. These include public utilities that routinely test potable water supplies and industrial/municipal waste water quality.
The acid-resistant labels will withstand long-term exposure as well as immersion in concentrated Sulfuric acid (H2SO4), Nitric acid (HNO3), Hydrochloric acid (HCL), Hydrofluoric acid (HF), Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA), as well as Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH). Perfect for use in research and clinical laboratories using trace metal analysis protocols, for protein work, from TCA protein precipitation, Coomassie/Ponceau Red staining, stripping western blot membranes with NaOH or acidic stripping buffers, as well as mass spectrometry, and acid hydrolysis of tissue for non-heme iron assays. Other applications for AcidiTAG™ include DNA alkylating drug manufacturing, fertilizer, herbicide and dye manufacturing as well as electronic board (PCB) acid etching, and lead-acid battery identification.
Compatible with all common thermal-transfer barcode label printers, the labels can be printed, using our XAR class of ribbons, with 1D and 2D barcodes, alphanumeric text and serialized information.
Ideal for use as primary or secondary labels for containers that are stored in corrosive vapor environments (chemical safety storage cabinets)
Suitable for 15, 50, and 100 ml polypropylene tubes used for open vessel, acid digestion in ICP-OES and ICP-MS
Strongly adhere to round as well as flat, metal, glass, and plastic surfaces
Provides a secure and accurate method to identify and track samples without the fear of losing label adhesion and/or printout
Strong adhesive will resist corrosive acids and bases (no need for additional lamination)
The label’s printout can also withstand direct exposure, and immersion, in highly concentrated acids and bases
