High temperature resistant permanent labels for the identification of various containers and surfaces that undergo autoclaving and dry heat sterilization. Temperature range from -60°C to +150°C (-76°F to + 300°F). The labels can be applied to metal, plastic and glass surfaces and withstand 20 autoclave sterilization cycles at 121°C (250°F) and 16.5psi pressure. The labels and the printout can withstand high-temperature exposures as well as gamma irradiation (up to 50 KGy) and ethylene oxide sterilization. Ideal for identification of containers and surfaces that need to be sterilized inside autoclaves, dry-heat sterilizing equipment, and gamma irradiators. Waterproof, weatherproof, thermal-transfer printable.
- The versatile labels can permanently adhere to a variety of surfaces such as metal, plastic, and glass
- Can resist high temperatures, ideal for multiple autoclave sterilization cycles at 121°C (250°F) and 16.5psi pressure for 20 minutes, gamma irradiation (up to 50KGy) and Ethylene oxide sterilization
- Printable with all major thermal-transfer printer brands
Frequently asked questions
Yes, Steri-ThermoTAG labels are thermal-transfer printable and require a ribbon to be printed. To achieve the proper printout, these labels require a smudge-proof RR-class ribbon of the same width or larger.
Yes, Steri-ThermoTAG labels can withstand high-heat conditions, up to temperatures of +150°C.
No, Steri-ThermoTAG labels are not suited for deep-freeze or cryogenic applications. For thermal-transfer labeling solutions that are both autoclave-resistant and withstand storage in cryogenic conditions, click here.
No, Steri-ThermoTAG labels are not chemical-resistant. For autoclave-resistant labels that will resist exposure to alcohols such as ethanol and isopropanol, click here.
Yes, Steri-ThermoTAG is offered in a variety of colors.
No, AUTT-class labels are coated with a permanent adhesive, that is not made for easy removal. For removable autoclave-resistant thermal-transfer labels we offer our AUTR-class.
No, AUTT-class labels do not have an indicator strip that changes color when the labels have been autoclaved. For Steri-ThermoTAG labels with an indicator strip, we offer our SAUP-class labels.
No, AUTT-class labels are not designed to be applied over existing labels. For covering-up obsolete or inaccurate labels, we recommend our BOA-class blackout thermal-transfer labels.
No, Steri-ThermoTAG is not offered in piggyback format. However, we do offer thermal-transfer piggyback labels that are suitable for autoclave applications, see here.
No, we do not offer a laminated version of Steri-ThermoTAG. For permanent thermal-transfer autoclave-resistant labels that come with a laminate for added protection, we suggest our SLPA-class Print-N-ShieldTM labels.
No, we do not offer a clear version of Steri-ThermoTAG. For transparent thermal-transfer autoclave-resistant labels, we suggest our GANA-class Cryo-OmniTAG labels.
Barcoding or label design software can be used to create templates that conform to the size of your label. You can then insert design elements within the template, for easy printing.
Yes, we can provide our autoclave-resistant labels preprinted with full-color graphics and logos, as well as variable or serialized information from a database. Learn more about our custom printing options.
