Description

XyliTUFF™ – Extended Exposure Xylene & Chemical-Resistant Labels (Patent Pending)

These solvent and chemical-resistant labels are specially designed for identifying HistoBAR histology cassettes used in Formalin-Fixed, Paraffin-Embedded (FFPE) procedures. When thermal-transfer printed with our recommended XAR-class of ink ribbons, and applied onto these cassettes, the label and printed information are fully secured. The printed label resists formalin, ethanol, xylene, and hot paraffin wax procedures encountered during routine FFPE protocols. They are also resistant against toluene, alcohols, hexane, acetone, dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), acetonitrile (ACN), and to the new generation of safer clearing and deparaffinizing xylene substitutes such as Histo-Clear™, Pro-Par, and others.

Benefits:

  • Able to withstand exposure and long-term immersion in harsh chemicals and solvents
  • Printable with most major thermal-transfer printer brands
  • Specially designed for HistoBAR histology tissue cassettes
  • Economical alternative to dedicated cassette printers when used with HistoBAR
