These thermal-transfer printable removable labels have a unique construction that provides resistance to spraying with harsh solvents*, such as xylene, toluene, and alcohols, as well as continuous wiping with surface sanitizing wipes. When printed with our chemical-resistant XAR-class of ribbons, the printout obtained is also resistant to solvents and harsh chemical exposure. These versatile labels have a wide temperature resistant range (-20°C to +100°C/-4°F to +212°F) perfectly suited for the identification of microscope slides that will undergo short or long-term storage in laboratory freezers.

Yes, our SBOR-class of labels are thermal-transfer printable and require a ribbon to be printed. To achieve the proper printout, these labels require a xylene and solvent-resistant XAR-class ribbon of the same width or larger.
Yes, our blackout chemical-resistant labels are designed for flat surfaces, including microscope slides However, for microscope slides subjected to extended xylene exposure, we recommend our XyliFIL™ and XyliSTUCK™ labels.
No, our blackout labels are not suggested for use in histological staining protocols. These labels are intended for post-stain relabeling.
