Description
Cryo-DirectTAG™ with SnapPEEL™ Technology – Cryogenic Labels for Direct Thermal Printers (Patent Pending)
Cryo-DirectTAG™ labels with SnapPEEL™ Technology are compatible with most major brands of direct thermal printers. These thermoplastic waterproof labels are specifically designed to adhere to vials, microcentrifuge tubes, microtubes, glass tubes, and other specimen containers that will undergo long-term cryogenic and deep-freeze storage. With SnapPEEL™ technology and a unique connected circle-and-rectangle design, each label allows the cap and side of vials to be labeled seamlessly in one single action. This eliminates the need for separate circle and rectangle labels, significantly improving efficiency and reducing unnecessary contact with the adhesive.
Benefits:
- Increases the speed and efficiency of repetitive cryo vial labeling
- Compatible with most common direct thermal printers, no ink required
- Withstand storage in liquid Nitrogen (-196°C), laboratory freezers (-80°C, -20°C), and transportation in dry ice
- Ideal for printing high-quality serialized data and barcodes

Frequently Asked Questions
No, Cryo-DirectTAG™ labels do not require ink or a ribbon. They can however be printed with certain models of direct thermal or thermal-transfer printers, for more information consult our experienced support team.
No, we recommend Cryogenic Labels for Frozen Surfaces (LWCS) for DYMO® LabelWriter™️ 5-Series printers.
Label design software can be used to create templates that conform to the size of your label. You can then insert design elements within the template, for easy printing.
Peel the printed label set from the liner by holding the rectangle portion. Affix the circle over the cap, then snap it off and place the rectangle on the side of the vial.
No, Cryo-DirectTAG labels are best applied at room temperature. For labeling already frozen vials and tubes, we recommend our CryoSTUCK® labels, a line of cryogenic labels intended for that purpose.
