Description

A4 Size Permanent Cryo-LazrTAG™ – Cryogenic Labels for Laser Printers

Key Benefits:

  • Perfect for long-term storage in ultra-low temperature freezers (-80°C)
  • Resistant to swabbing with alcohol and surface sanitizing wipes
  • Printable with office and desktop laser printers; easy template set-up
  • Available in colors, perfect for color-coding

Coated with a unique cryo adhesive, Cryo-LazrTAG™ thermoplastic waterproof labels are specifically designed to permanently adhere to the caps of 1.5 and 2ml vials and microtubes that will undergo long-term deep-freeze storage. These waterproof, durable labels are supplied in A4 format, allowing for easy, jam-free printing with standard desktop laser printers. Resistant to wear, handling, and mild laboratory chemicals, including swabbing with alcohols (isopropanol, ethanol) and surface sanitizing wipes, they deliver consistent reliability in demanding lab settings.

*Given the small diameter of these dot labels, they are not recommended for liquid nitrogen storage. For tube cap labelling, we recommend thermal transfer or writable NitroTAG®.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please consult our handy sizing guide where you will find recommendations for the most common vial/tube sizes.

No, Cryo-LazrTAG labels are designed to be printed using desktop laser printer brands, such as Brother, HP, Canon, and Samsung. Laser labels will not feed through consistently, and may damage inkjet printers.

See our label templates page to find your appropriate format and download the MS Word template associated with your labels.

Press the Print button, then click “Printer Properties” next to your printer’s name. Ensure Media/Paper type is set to “label”. If label is not an option, select “thick paper”. For more help with printer troubleshooting see our more detailed FAQ.

Yes, Cryo-LazrTAG labels are designed for on-demand printing, they allow only a few labels to be printed, while saving the rest for later. These laser labels can withstand multiple passes in desktop laser printers, and will not peel-off or jam the printer.

No, Cryo-LazrTAG labels are best applied at room temperature. For labeling already frozen vials and tubes using laser labels, we recommend our new laser CryoSTUCK® line of cryogenic labels especially designed for labeling already frozen surfaces.

Laser labels are waterproof and resistant to long-term storage in liquid nitrogen. However, they have limited resistance to harsh chemicals, so for any cryo containers that may encounter chemicals, we recommend our thermal-transfer cryo labels.

No, these labels are designed for cryogenic use, and are not suitable for high-heat conditions. For autoclave-resistant laser labels see here.

Yes, Cryo-LazrTAG labels can be inscribed using ballpoint pen or permanent cryogenic markers. We recommend our Science-Marker™, which are also alcohol and water-resistant.
