Description

Zesti-DirectTAG™ – Direct Thermal Heat-Resistant Labels (Patent Pending)

  • Compatible with most common direct thermal printers
  • Suitable for a variety of laboratory applications
  • Convenient to print, no need for ribbons or other ink sources

These heat-resistant labels are compatible with most common direct thermal printers. They can withstand elevated temperatures up to +95°C (+203°F) under both dry and wet conditions, which allows them to be used for different laboratory tasks that include heat inactivation and high heat treatments*. The primary quality of these high heat labels is their ability to remain readable after exposure to hot conditions, in contrast with standard direct thermal labels that turn entirely dark during the heating process. These permanent labels are suitable for identifying various laboratory labware and equipment composed of different materials, including metal, glass, and plastic. Given that these labels are also resistant to low temperatures (-80°C/ -112°F), they can be utilized for freezing applications and storage.

*Please note that some minor label darkening/mottling may occur after standard autoclave conditions, boiling water, or temperature exposure exceeding the recommended limit. Prior testing is recommended to determine the suitability of this product for each particular application. (Get free samples)

No, they cannot be printed with DYMO printers. Please see our Zesti-DTermo labels for DYMO-compatible heat-resistant direct thermal labels.

No, Zesti-directTAG labels do not require a ribbon or any other ink source to print.

Unlike standard direct thermal labels that darken when exposed to heat (≥+70°C), the printout of these labels remains readable and scannable by barcode scanners following the heating process (up to +95°C).

These heat-resistant labels can withstand heat exposure (up to +95°C/+203°F) for up to 1 hour under dry and wet conditions.

Some minor label darkening/mottling may occur after standard autoclave cycles. Prior testing is recommended to determine the suitability of this product for each particular application.

Yes, Zesti-DirectTAG labels are resistant to deep-freeze conditions as low as -80°C (-112°F). They withstand being immediately placed in low temperatures following high heat procedures, as well as heating directly following removal from freezers.

No, these labels have a permanent chemical-resistant adhesive that is not made for easy removal.

Please consult our handy sizing guide, where you will find recommendations for the most common vial/tube sizes.

No, heat-resistant direct thermal labels are only available in white. For additional color options, contact our technical support team.

Yes, barcoding or label design software, including BarTender and ZebraDesigner, can be used to create templates that conform to your label’s size. You can then insert design elements within the template for easy printing.
