Yes, Cryo-LazrTAG™ labels can be inscribed using ballpoint pens, permanent cryogenic markers. We recommend our Science-Marker™, which are also alcohol and water-resistant.
No, Cryo-LazrTAG labels will not feed through consistently, and may damage inkjet printers.
Cryo-LazrTAG sheet labels are available in US letter size (8.5″ x 11″) and in European A4 size (210 mm x x297 mm). For more information, please consult our expert technical support team.
Because of their proximity to the non-printable margins of most laser printers, we recommend to avoid printing on the top and bottom rows of the CLH class sheets.
We recommend avoiding multiple passes of the same CLH-class sheet in laser printers as this may cause a deterioration of the adhesive and subsequent performance.
Press the print button, then click “properties” next to your printer’s name. Ensure Media/Paper type is set to “label”. If label is not an option, select “thick paper”. For more help with printer troubleshooting see our more detailed FAQ.

No, these Cryo-LazrTAG labels are not removable. For removable cryogenic labels for laser printers, see here.
No, Cryo-LazrTAG labels are best applied at room temperature. For labeling already frozen vials and tubes using laser labels, we recommend our new laser CryoSTUCK line of cryogenic labels especially designed for labeling already frozen surfaces.
Laser labels are waterproof and resistant to long-term storage in liquid nitrogen. However, they have limited resistance to harsh chemicals, so for any cryo containers that may encounter chemicals, we recommend our thermal-transfer cryo labels.
No, these labels are designed for cryogenic use, and are not suitable for high-heat conditions. For autoclave-resistant laser labels see here.
