Deep-freeze, thermal-transfer radio frequency identification (RFID) labels that can be scanned/read at 360° without the need to be in direct line of sight. Well suited for storage in -80°C (-112°F) freezers and dry ice transportation, with a flexible UHF inlay that allows excellent adhesion to vials and other containers, even at very low temperatures. Suitable for real-time tracking and inventory of small diameter cryo tubes & cryo vials, cardboard freezer boxes, polypropylene cryo/freezer boxes, cell culture plates, and other containers. When printed with our recommended smudge-proof RR-class of ribbons, the printout obtained is also resistant to alcohol spraying and swabbing. No, CryoRFID labels will withstand deep-freeze conditions (-80°C), but are not recommended for cryogenic environments. For Cryogenic thermal-transfer labels, we suggest our NitroTAG® labels.

Please consult our handy sizing guide where you will find recommendations for the most common vial/tube sizes.

Yes, although these labels are intended for vials, tubes, and boxes, for identifying plates and dishes with RFID, we recommend our RFID-PlateTAG™ labels.

No, CryoRFID labels are coated with a permanent adhesive, that is not made for easy removal.

No, these labels are not currently available in color. They can however be custom produced in color, for more information contact our technical support team.

Yes, a UHF RFID printer is required to accurately encode these labels when printing. We suggest the Zebra ZD500R RFID thermal-transfer printer.

Yes, specialized software is required to properly encode your labels. The two pieces of software we would recommend are BarTender Pro and ZebraDesigner3 Pro.

Barcoding or label design software can be used to create templates that conform to the size of your label. You can then insert design elements within the template, for easy printing.

Yes, we can provide our CryoRFID labels preprinted with full-color graphics and logos, as well as variable or serialized information from a database. Learn more about our custom printing options.
