No, special toner is not required for printing Cryo-LazrTAG labels. These labels can be printed using standard laser printer toner, compatible with your printer of choice.
Please consult our handy sizing guide where you will find recommendations for the most common vial/tube sizes.
Yes, these Cryo-LazrTAG labels are removable. For cryogenic labels for laser printers coated with a permanent adhesive, see here.
No, Cryo-LazrTAG labels are best applied at room temperature. For labeling already frozen vials and tubes using laser labels, we recommend our new laser CryoSTUCK line of cryogenic labels especially designed for labeling already frozen surfaces.
Laser labels are waterproof and resistant to long-term storage in liquid nitrogen. However, they have limited resistance to harsh chemicals, so for any cryo containers they may encounter chemicals, we recommend our thermal-transfer cryo labels.
No, these labels are designed for cryogenic use, and are not suitable for high-heat conditions. For autoclave-resistant laser labels see here.
Yes, Cryo-LazrTAG labels can be inscribed using ballpoint pens, permanent cryogenic markers. We recommend our Science-MarkerTM, which are also alcohol and water-resistant.
